Organisations and individuals were asked if they had a viable proposal for the future of Bedworth Civic Hall via a questionnaire. This expression of interest period has now closed.

The purpose of the engagement was to seek the views of the local community, arts organisations and potential venue operators to help achieve the following:

• an interest, at no cost to the Borough Council, in operating the Civic Hall building in the future
• a plan for the potential viable operation of the Civic Hall building with no financial contribution from the Borough Council, showing how the immediate capital investment requirements would be met
• ideas for use of the building in the current period at no cost to the Borough Council, while plans for the future development of the site are considered
• suggestions for future use of the Civic Hall site if the Civic Hall building was to be replaced

Duration

The engagement period ran from Thursday, 10 November 2022 until 12pm on Monday, 30 January 2023.

The Borough Council will announce the outcome of this engagement exercise, and any next steps, in early 2023.
