If you have a joint tenancy, it means that both Tenants are jointly and individually responsible for the tenancy, and any arrears that may accrue.
The tenancy conditions apply to both parties, and both are jointly responsible for meeting them.
If you wish to give up your half of the tenancy, both Tenants will need to see their Housing Officer and sign their intention to give up their half of the tenancy.
