Rejected bins

Rejected brown lidded bin

Recycling bins will not be collected if the following reasons apply, and a non-collection notice will be left on the bin;

  • Incorrect items are found within the bin or insert - the red tag left on the bin will explain why
  • Paper and cardboard have not been separated from the rest of the items (paper and cardboard should only be present within the container insert)
  • The bin has been presented late (after 7:00am)

What to do if your brown lidded (recycle) bin is rejected

  • Remove any incorrect items and the red bin hanger and wait for next collection
  • Ensure paper and cardboard are separated from the other recyclables, remove red bin hanger and wait for next collection
  • Alternatively, waste can be taken to Judkins Household Recycling Centre, Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton, CV10 OHU

Rejected green (food and garden waste) bin

Green bins will not be collected if the following reasons apply, and a non-collection notice will be left on the bin;

  • Incorrect items are found within the bin - the non-collection notice will explain why
  • Incorrect bags have been used for food waste (bags used must be compostable)
  • The bin is too heavy or overloaded to empty
  • The bin was presented after 7:00am

What to do if your green (food and waste) bin is rejected

  • Remove any incorrect items and non-collection notice, and wait for next collection
  • Waste can be taken to Judkins Household Recycling Centre, Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton, CV10 0HU
