Apply for your £150 Council Tax energy rebate

If you live in in a property in Council Tax Bands A to D, you are entitled to receive a one-off Council Tax rebate payment of £150. This will not have to be repaid. (The rebate will not be paid for second homes or empty properties.)

This payment is separate to your Council Tax, and the government is simply using the existing Council Tax database to process the rebate and identify those households who qualify.

Applications for the Main Scheme Energy payments for those eligible in Bands A to D, are now closed.

As at  21 September 2022,  47,000 payments have been issued to eligible main scheme households.  Any unclaimed payments will now be automatically credited to your Council Tax Account by 30th September 2022.
