Parking Restrictions
Pay and Display Car Parks
A Penalty Charge Notice will be issued if:
- your vehicle is not wholly parked within a marked out bay
- a valid ticket/season ticket is not clearly displayed
- your ticket has expired
- your vehicle is parked in a disabled space without displaying a valid blue badge
- the ticket is not of the correct type for that parking place
or for any other contravention as specified within the Traffic Management Act 2004 or the Nuneaton and Bedworth Off Street Parking Order (No 2) 2011.
Pay on Foot Car Parks
A Penalty Charge Notice will be issued if:
- your vehicle is not wholly parked within a marked out bay
- your vehicle is parked in a disabled space without displaying a valid blue badge
- your vehicle is parked in a parent and toddler bay with no toddler present
- your vehicle is parked in a space reserved for Shopmobility users without displaying a
shopmobility permit
or for any other contravention as specified within the Traffic Management Act 2004 or the Nuneaton and Bedworth Off Street Parking Order (No 2) 2011.
Parking Tips
- Always lock all doors and close all windows
- Don't leave valuables in the car. If you must - lock them in the boot out of sight
- If you have to leave your car overnight, leave it in a well-lit car park near a CCTV camera
- Fit a car alarm and make sure you set it before leaving
- Invest in a locking petrol cap and if you have alloy wheels, protect them with locking wheel nuts
- When you have parked, always check that the steering lock is engaged
- Do not leave dogs - or children in the car
- Only park in marked bays
- Disabled drivers - please make sure that your Blue Badge is valid and prominently displayed and that the correct tariff has been paid
- In Pay and Display car parks, please don't forget to display your ticket in your windscreen
- Check the terms and usage in all car parks
