Willow Weaving at Windmill Hill

If you go down to the woods today, you will be sure of a big surprise, well nearly, come along to Windmill Hill this Saturday, 17th February and have a go at Willow Weaving.

As part of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Parks & Countryside Events Guide, come and work with our Green Wood Artist and learn all about willow and willow weaving, everything that you make you will be able to take home with you.

The morning will start at 10.00am, at Windmill Hill Community Nature reserve, entrance opposite to 85 Mancetter Road, car parking which is available onsite.

The event is completely free, but you will need to book your place by telephoning Jo Robinson, Promotions Officer on 024 7637 6042.  Refreshments will be provided during the morning.

So, if you have no plans for this Saturday, give Jo a call and book your place, a great way to start the gardening season off for 2007.

Councillor Tony Lloyd, Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation said today:

‘This is one of our most popular events during the winter programme.  This is a great opportunity to find out more about willow and willow weaving, but remember the weather may well be very cold so dress for the outdoors.’
