The Sustainable Community Plan for Nuneaton and Bedworth 2007 - 2021

Monday 30th April, 2007 will see the launch of the new Sustainable Community Plan for Nuneaton and Bedworth entitled “Shaping Our Future”.  The plan will be launched by Nuneaton and Bedworth Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) in Committee Room A, Town Hall, Nuneaton commencing at 2.00 p.m.

Partnership working is becoming more and more a key element in delivering joined up, good, quality services to local people to meet local needs and aspirations.

The LSP is passionate that the Borough is to be an outstanding place to live, work, visit, enjoy and is committed to working together too make a difference to the lives of all people.

The aim of the LSP has been to ensure that the plan addresses as many priorities of local people as possible. This has meant an extensive consultation process with as many representative groups and residents of the Borough, meeting many face to face, to find out what issues are having the greatest impact on their quality of life.

The LSP partnership currently includes the following organisations and is supported by the Government Office for the West Midlands:

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council
Warwickshire County Council
Nuneaton and Bedworth Council for Voluntary Service

With respect to the LSP, Borough Council Cabinet Member Ian Lloyd said:

“Our vision is, in 2021, Nuneaton and Bedworth will be a place with strong, vibrant communities where everyone has access to opportunities, choices and high quality services.”
