Spring Arrives with Return of Farmers’ Market

Winter has subsided into spring and to celebrate, the Farmers’ Market is returning to Nuneaton Town Centre on Friday 20th April 2007. The market will be erected in the Market Place and will provide a varied variety of goods and food. It will be open between 9am and 2pm. Come and try something new, it will be worth the experience.

Alan Ottey, Town Centres Manager said:

“We re-introduced the Farmers’ market last year after a long absence. We were able to monitor what the response of the shoppers was, and so, after the winter break, we are returning with more traders and actually siting it in the Market Place. The traders are all local and we should support local farming and businesses. The farms and local small businesses around Nuneaton have lots to offer. What better place for them to trade than in the middle of Nuneaton.”

There will be a variety of foods on offer and all grown and reared around the area. There will be food and drink to take home or food that can be eaten whilst in the town centre.

The market will visit Nuneaton on the 3rd Friday of each month and will be situated in the Market Place. As the seasons change different foods will be available and it is good to know it is local so it has not been brought from across the world. The Farmers’ Market will go a little way to contributing to the reduction of the effects on world pollution.
