Sorrell Road Play Area
Children from Hill Top got a sneak preview of the new Play area at Sorrell Road which was finished ahead of schedule during the School Spring Half Term.
Consultation has been taking place with Year 5 of All Saints School on how they would like their new play area to look. After a hectic day of model making back in January, contractors started on site putting the children’s ideas into a fabulous new play facility.
To launch this new play area an official opening has been organised for the children of Year 5 at 1.45pm on Tuesday, 5th June. This has given the children an opportunity to see their idea’s come to fruition and to start to enjoy their hard work. Refreshments will be on hand for the children to enjoy.
The new play area, which cost £70,000 is part of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council’s Outdoor Play Programme, Sorrell Road has gone through a transformation to upgrade the play facilities and provide a safe environment for users over the last few months, this exciting play area is part of the dedicated programme of works with a budget of £2million that the Council has set aside for this Strategy.

“With the upgrade of this play facility at Sorrell Road, children for many years will be able to feel safe and secure in a state of the art facility designed for and used by the children of our Borough. Well done to all the children who put their input into the design.”
