Information about the Small Business Rate Relief scheme is just one of the practical offers of help and support outlined in a letter from the Borough Council to businesses in Nuneaton and Bedworth. On offer, to those eligible, is a sliding scale of reductions in business rates of up to 50% where the rateable value is below £5,000.
Free entry onto the Nuneaton and Bedworth Online Business Directory, due to be re-launched in April, is also available and businesses are reminded to look out for opportunities to supply the Council with goods and services.
Businesses can also log onto the Council’s business web page, which signposts businesses to other agencies that are able to provide help and advice. Business Link, Warwickshire County Council and Support West Midlands are just a few organisations featured, with links direct to their own websites.
Cllr David Bryden, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Development, says:
“We want to be pro-active in offering advice to businesses in our Borough, supporting our local economy as much as possible. It is important to do all we can to maintain a healthy and viable business sector in our area.”
