Refreshments in the Park

Since the closure of the Café within the Museum and Art Gallery in Riversley Park, expressions of interest for a new catering facility are being sought.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council have been looking at ways of providing a new catering and refreshments facility into both Riversley Park and the Miners’ Welfare Park in Bedworth initially from May to September.  Advertisements have been placed with an external catering magazine in search of outlets that wish to be considered for an opportunity to serve users of both the formal Parks.

Councillor Tony Lloyd, Cabinet Member for Culture & Recreation said today:

“We are looking for a mobile unit that will fill the niche market that both the formal Parks offer.  Alongside the new unit, there will be room for a seating area that people will be able to stay and enjoy their refreshments from.”

If anyone is interested in finding out more about this exciting opportunity more information can be obtained from Jo Robinson, Promotions Officer at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council on (024) 7637 6042.
