In Touch – Recycling Special

In Touch - Front Cover
The countdown is on with less than a month to go before the brand new waste collection service begins on Monday October 24th 2011, and it's guaranteed to make recycling as Easy as 1...2…3!

The delivery of a brown lid bin to every household is underway, which will replace the current red box recycling system providing just one bin to dispose of all recyclable waste.

To make sure everyone knows about the new system and how they can recycle more a brand new In Touch Recycling Special is on its way to all homes across the Borough.  Packed full of information about composting, reducing junk mail, and minimising waste as well as all the information about what bin to use for your household waste, this special publication is the ultimate guide for every home.

Cllr Bill Sheppard, cabinet member for Health and the Environment, said:

“The In Touch Recycling Special will be landing on doormats throughout the Borough all this week and will provide residents with everything they need to know about the new recycling service at their fingertips.  With less than four weeks to go we want residents to be prepared for when the new system is in place, and would encourage anyone who is unsure to come along to one of the sessions as part of the Easy as 123 Roadshow. ”

Further information about the service and a list of all of the roadshow events is available online or telephone (024) 7637 6170.
