CCTV post installed in Black-a-tree Road

In response to anti social behaviour being experienced in Black A Tree Road Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has contributed towards a dedicated lamp post which will support the Nuneaton and Bedworth Safer Communities Partnership’s Mobile CCTV scheme.

The Mobile CCTV scheme has been in operation across the Borough for over 12 months and aims to reduce the fear of crime and act as an Anti Social Behaviour deterrent to those who persistently blight communities with their behaviour.

This latest move to install CCTV in Black-a-tree Road comes as the Partnership extends it’s CCTV scheme by purchasing 4 additional cameras and converting lamp posts in priority areas.

The Leader of the Council, Dennis Harvey said

“We welcome the deployment of mobile CCTV cameras across the borough, as one tool of addressing the issue of anti social behaviour. By working with our partners and communities we hope to really challenge the behaviour of those who persistently cause a nuisance to our communities”

Councillor Roma Taylor, Elected Member for Barpool Ward said

“I am delighted to see that a lamp post and camera has been installed to address this important issue. Anything that makes residents feel safer on our Housing Estates is essential.”
