Register online for UChoose

A reminder is being made to those applicants who were already on the Council's housing register.  The old points based allocation system has been changed to UChoose, a new choice based letting system.  It is essential that those people on the old housing register realise they have to register online with UChoose. 

 

All applicants on the previous housing register who want to be considered for council accommodation have to get their applications registered before the end of JUNE 2009. All applicants should log on to www.uchoosehomes.co.uk

 

There is also a prize draw incentive for those applicants on the previous register to complete their online application before Sunday 28th JUNE 2009.

 

In the meantime the council are still allocating empty properties through the points based system.  This will change from 1st July 2009 when all properties are advertised through the UChoose website.

 

Pete Lowe, Head of Housing Management says,

"We are surprised that more of our existing applicants haven't accessed the UChoose Homes web site to re-register their application for accommodation. We would encourage people to apply online by the end of June 2009.
