Nuneaton and Bedworth has three twin towns in Europe with which social, cultural, educational, sporting and economic activities take place to encourage and support twinning links and activities between the Borough and Roanne (France), Guadalajara (Spain) and Cottbus (Germany).

Roanne
in central France, 55 miles north west of Lyons, has a population of approximately 80,000 lies on the Loire river and is a famous gastronomic centre. Its industries are mainly textile and agriculture.

Guadalajara
35 miles north east of Madrid, Guadalajara, capital of the Castille La Manca region is in the heart of Don Quixote country on the Henares river. The town has 70,000 inhabitants and is dotted with historic buildings such as the Palacio del Infantado and many churches.
The surrounding villages create an image of the real Spain.
Cottbus
the Borough's newest twin is in Brandenburg, south east of Berlin, 19 miles from the Polish border. Being one of the most foremost cities in eastern Germany Cottbus has a population of 117,000 and is undergoing economic and structured change from an opencast mining area. Other key industries are railway maintenance and electronics.
The city is famous for its parks - Branitz Park in particular - and was the first city in the new German States to stage the National Horticultural show.

Visits
Cultural visits for young people take place every year. For those still at school, exchange visits are organised to Roanne and Guadalajara with Cottbus hopefully to follow in 2008.
