A series of 'Your Green Track' walking leaflets have been completed that give you an opportunity to explore parts of the Countryside in Nuneaton and Bedworth. All these walks include interconnecting routes spanning the borough allowing you to walk through local parks, disused railway lines, open countryside and are all mainly off road and circular routes.
Walking is not only enjoyable but health experts call it "almost perfect exercise!" Just 30 minutes a day of moderate activity, such as brisk walking, is all it takes to make you feel good, have more energy, and reduce stress. Walking also helps to reduce the risks of heart disease, high blood pressure, stoke, obesity and diabetes!
Remember any walking is better than none, so start off slowly and build up gradually. Use the Green Track routes for independent walking while the Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust offers the opportunity to join in with walks led by qualified walk leaders weekly throughout the year - all for FREE! Please Note
Many sections of the Green Track routes are not accessible to some physically disabled people and to those with mobility problems due to their rural and unimproved nature.
Path surfaces are highly variable including grass, mud and stone and the routes often also involve steep slopes, kissing gates and stiles.
