The Writing Room
George Eliot Gallery

George Eliot is well documented in the history of Nuneaton and the museum has long been host to the story of the world famous author. The museum’s writer in residence, Vanessa Oakes, has looked at the legacy created by Eliot and presented a new space for you to come and try your writing skills and see if you could be the next George Eliot?

Plus an opportunity to see some of the objects George Eliot would have been very familiar with in a room set inspired by "The Priory", the London home she shared with George Henry Lewes from 1863.
