Planning and building control

The Planning and building control service delivers a number of key functions.  Planning policies and practises and building regulations shape development proposals for the physical and economic regeneration of the borough.  They cover everything from large redevelopment schemes to small housing developments, changes of use of commercial property and residential extensions.
