Applying for housing
Switch from Uchoose to Homehunt
The Uchoose system that applicants currently use to view and apply for Council properties will soon change to a new service which is aimed at making the process of finding the right place to live quicker and simpler. Homes in the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council area will no longer be advertised through UChoose, they will instead be advertised on a new system called Homehunt.
The switch from UChoose to Homehunt will be administered by reapplying onto Homehunt from the 26th June 2013 onwards. Properties will then be available for you to express an interest in from the 3rd July 2013. This can be done by visiting www.homehunt.co.uk or contacting the allocations team on 02476 376406
All available properties will be advertised on Homehunt and the adverts contain information about the landlord, the property location, rent, size, special features and any eligibility requirements.
Homehunt is an updated and improved version of UChoose and we are working hard to ensure that the transition to the new service is as seamless as possible. We understand that any change in service will take some getting used to, and Council Officers are on hand to help you with any questions you may have by contacting 02476 376406.
We will write to you when the switch to Homehunt will take place but you can visit the website now to find out more about the service and read up on the frequently asked questions.
Councillor Julie Jackson, who is responsible for the Council's housing department, said:
"Home Hunt is designed to make the process of choosing a home much simpler for tenants and will offer a range of properties which are easily accessible and well detailed online.
"Our aim is always to provide a first class service to tenants and residents and we believe Home Hunt will help us to do this."
