Telephone - automated payment line

If you have a debit or credit card, payment can be made using the Council's dedicated automated payment line.

You will need to have your debit or credit card details and account reference to hand.  (There is no charge for paying by debit card, but you will be charged an additional 2.6% if you pay by credit card.)

Internet

Online payments for council tax, business rates and housing rent can be made through the Santander corporate banking website. You can also use our website to pay for a range of other council services and invoices via our payment provider WorldPay.

Direct debit

Direct debit can be used to pay council tax, business rates and housing and garage rent.  If you wish to pay by direct debit, complete the mandate form.  A number of direct debit dates are available.  If you are in receipt of housing benefit, you can only pay by weekly direct debit.

Standing order

You may set up a standing order at your bank, quoting the Council's bank account details:

  • Sort Code:  54-21-13
  • Account Number:  56580762

You must also quote one of the following:

  • council tax reference number
  • business rates reference number
  • housing rent reference number
  • garage rent reference number

Post

Cheques or postal orders may be sent through the post to:

  • Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton, CV11 5AA

Cheques should be made payable to Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council.  Remember to allow sufficient time for your payment to reach us by the due date.  Your account reference number should be written on the reverse of the cheque or postal order.

Payzone outlet

You can make payments free of charge at any Payzone outlet.  You must have your council tax swipe card with you and you can only make payments in cash.  Please allow at least five working days for the payment to reach your account.

Post Office

You may pay at any Post Office free of charge but you must have your council tax or rent swipe card with you.  Please allow at least four working days for the payment to reach your account.  If paying by cheque or postal order at the Post Office, you should make it payable to Post Office Counters Limited.

No cash payments

PLEASE NOTE: Cash payment is no longer accepted at the Council offices. Do not send cash through the post as it is not secure. Use one of the alternative ways to pay.
