Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council aims to help people with disabilities to continue to live in their own homes, where this is feasible. Our Private Sector Housing Team may be able to provide a grant to help pay for adaptations to make your home more accessible. The grant can help, for example, to pay for a ramp and handrails, to widen doorways or replace a bath with a shower.
We also offer assistance to provide a step lift, stair lift or through floor lift. If you think that you need an adaptation to your home, please contact the Council on 024 7637 6294. Your circumstances will be considered and referred to us. You can apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant as an owner, a tenant or as a landlord of the property.
