Council House Insulation

The insulation programme of work to council properties will target homes where there is insufficient cavity or loft insulation.  However, because of the construction of some properties it may not always be possible for cavity wall insulation to be installed.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Uninsulated cavity walls cost you money.  More heat is lost through walls than any other way - about one third in an uninsulated home.

Filling in the cavity in your walls is probably the single best and the easiest thing you can do to save you hundreds of pounds in fuel bills, the average saving is £70-100 a year.

Not only will cavity wall insulation help you save money and reduce heat loss, but your home will also feel much more comfortable.  It will give your home a more even temperature, help prevent condensation on the walls and ceilings and can even help prevent excessive heat building up inside your home during summer hot spells.

Loft Insulation

Everyone knows that heat rises - it's a well known fact, but did you know that 25% of your heating costs could be escaping out of your roof?  This can easily be remedied.  Loft insulation will keep your roof's energy-leaking habits at bay.

Loft insulation is a very effective way of reducing your heating bills.  Simply by adding a layer of 270mm thick insulation, you can save wasted energy and money.
