Door Security Systems
Feeling safe and secure in your home is very important to us all. Tenants and leaseholders troubled by anti social behaviour in blocks of flats have benefited from the installation of door entry systems.
Other security measures involving fencing, lighting, and environmental works aimed at improving the general appearance at a number of locations throughout the Borough have also been carried out.
Since 2003, 955 properties within the Borough have benefited from the additional safety and security gained from door entry systems as detailed in the graph below.
Schemes proposed for 2009/10 include Dillon Court and Sunnyside Court where a total of 67 properties will benefit from increased security measures. Works are also planned for flats at Ryde Avenue flats and various other locations.
Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
The programme of works for 2009/10 will follow the Door Security Systems works to blocks of flats with Dillon Court, Church Way/Congreve Walk and Attleborough Road flats benefiting from Fire Detection and Alarm Systems.
Upgrades to existing systems will also be carried out at Park Lane flats, Kingswood Road flats, Sandringham Court, Balmoral Court, Buckingham Court, Holyrood Court, Charles Eaton Road, Tom Ellis Court and Lydgate Court.
To date we have installed 254 systems providing 24 hour, 365 day responsive detection.
