Residents Associations

Residents Associations are just another way in which you could get involved in the business of the Council. You could either join an existing Residents Association, if there is one in your area, or you could set one up with financial and practical help from the Council.

Residents Executive Committee

The Residents Executive Committee works at a strategic level along with Councillors and Council Officers.  They ensure that residents views are taken into account during the decision making process.

Quarterly Contact

Tenant/Leaseholder newsletter delivered quarterly.  The editorial panel is made up of the Residents Executive Committee and Resident Involvement Officer.  It has proven the most popular way that tenants/leaseholders like to receive information.

Consultation and Participation

View the Tenant Consultation and Participation leaflet PDF (502 KB) at the bottom of this page for more information on how you can help set the Capital Programme.

Customer Auditors

Customer Auditors are groups of people who use the housing services and carry out mystery shopping or telephone shopping to test the services.

How do we know what we are doing is right, unless we test it.

At Nuneaton and Bedworth we are always looking to improve our services to our customers.  To do this we have customer auditors who meet with the Tenant Participation Team to carry out the auditing.  They need only get involved once or twice a year and they may be required to attend one or two meetings to find out the objective and to receive feedback.

Tenants Forum

Forums are where tenants/leaseholders and Council Officers meet to discuss a set topic, i.e. rents, repairs, allocations, anti-social behaviour.

They are held on a Saturday morning for approximately 3 hours.  They are always advertised in the tenant/leaseholder newsletter "Quarterly Contact".  All that is required to take part in the forum are your views and ideas.

Tenant Involvement Strategy

A Tenant Involvement Strategy is an agreement between tenants and the council which sets out the ways in which you as tenants can get more involved in taking decisions about your home and the housing services provided by the council.

Central Midlands Tenants Association

The Central Midlands Tenants Association meet on a bi-monthly basis and assist in the arrangement of the annual conference held throughout Warwickshire.  The aim is to bring together the Central Midlands Local Authorities and Housing Associations together, share best practice, help improve services and promote Tenant Participation
