The Council currently provides officer support to a number of Residents Association in the Borough, each of which are at various stages in their formation. Support is provided in the following ways:
 
  • Dedicated Officer support via the Resident Involvement Officer in helping to set up new associations, helping them to define and meet their objectives and to remain effective in influencing and improving the quality of life within the community
  • Practical support and advice relating to forming and developing associations
  • Physical resources - production and circulation of invitations, minutes and newsletters, photocopying and printing
  • Financial assistance - payment for venues, transport cost reimbursement etc
  • Start up and continuation grant funding for Residents Associations who meet a defined criteria
