Initial contact point for members of the public, and other third parties, wishing to make or follow-up an insurance claim against the Council. In many cases claims are referred to a company that handles such claims on behalf of the Council.

The council will be responsible for the structure of your home, but you are responsible to insure the contents.
 
The Council does operate a Tenants Home Contents Scheme, which is open to all of the authority’s tenants and leaseholders. This covers your furniture, TV, clothes, carpets and electrical goods.
 

How to Claim

Council tenants should contact Wessex Administration Services Ltd ('phone 01962 844454) in relation to claims on their contents insurance where this was arranged under the Council's scheme.
 
In the case of any difficulty tenants should contact the Council's Housing Manager.
