Responsible for the Council's recycling plan, put in place to meet the Government's target of 30% of household waste to be recycled by the year 2010.

To help enable residents to achieve the Government set target, the council provides a Red Box recycling kerbside collection scheme.
 
For any extra information, click on the A-Z of Recycling - which shows how different materials can be recycled around the borough.

Collections

  • As with all our services, please have your red box out by 7am on the kerbside on your collection day.
  • Any materials that cannot be collected will be left in the box after collection.
  • If you do not have a red box, please contact us on 024 7637 6170
  • The collection service is weekly all year round, please check Christmas collection timetable here
  • If you would like to purchase a lid for your box, theses are available from the Council House reception or Bedworth area office for £2.  We also sell wheel kits for £4.
 

Conditions

  • We cannot accept wallpaper, food waste, Tetrapak drinks cartons or nappies.  These items will be left in the box after collection.
  • If you need any help putting your box out, we collect and return the box for residents who are elderly, infirm or disabled.  To receive this service, please call 024 7637 6170.
  • We will send all materials you recycle to recognised manufacturers for recycling.
  • We will get rid of fridges and freezers correctly.
  • We will educate children by visiting them in their schools and working with community groups.
  • We will keep all recycling sites clean and empty the containers regularly.
