Collections
- Collected Fortnightly between March to end of November (dates vary yearly) every fortnight detailed by a Calendar, which you will recieve before the scheme starts to advise you of your collection days.
- You can also use the online service from this page to find out when green bins will be collected from your street.
- Please present your bin at the edge of your property by 7am on the day of your collection.
- Only garden waste should be disposed of in your green bin.
- Please ensure that all material is put in the bin loose, and not in bags.
- You can also take excess green waste for composting to the Household Disposal Site at Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton.
Conditions
- Green bins are collected from Residential properties only.
- If your bin has any other materials other than garden waste it will not be collected. Also, please do not over fill your green waste bin, it may not be collected.
You can put all these items in your green bin:
- Weeds, tree and shrub prunings, grass cuttings, twigs and small branches, cut flowers and leaves
- Clean wood shavings (saw dust)
Please do not put the following in your green waste bin:
- Any plastic materials, i.e. plastic bags, packaging and plant pots
- Cardboard of any type
- Animal waste and bedding
- General household waste
- Disposable nappies
- Chipboard of any description
- Vacuum cleaner bags and contents
- Vegetable waste and fruit peelings cannot be collected due to Animal By-product regulations.
Home Woodchipping Service
If you would like to use Warwickshire County Council's Home Woodchipping Service this can be booked by telephoning 01926 738827. The service costs £15 for one hour and the chipper can be booked for a further hour for £10, providing it is booked at the same time.
