Local Plan
The Local Plan guides new development within the Borough, and proposes new sites for housing, employment and recreation up to the year 2011.

Local Development Framework (LDF)
This is the name given to the new planning system. It consists of a portfolio documents. The Local Plan has become a 'saved' document within the LDF up to 2009.
