Area Action Plans

An Area Action Plan (AAP) is a development plan document focused upon a specific location or area subject to conservation or significant change. This could include a major regeneration project or growth area.

 

It provides an important mechanism for ensuring development of an appropriate scale, mix and quality for key areas of opportunity, change or conservation.

 

An AAP outlines protection for areas sensitive to change and aims to resolve conflicting objectives in areas subject to development pressures.

 

AAPs are subject to independent examination.

As an essential part of the evidence base for the AAP there is a vitality and viability study entitled Nuneaton and Bedworth Town Centre Health Check. This document is available to view at the Town Hall in Nuneaton, the Bedworth Area Office and in the Borough's six local libraries.
