How to Apply for Planning Permission
- Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council uses the national Planning Portal for online submission of planning applications. Pease refer to the Apply Online section below.
- Alternatively you can download the '1App' form from the Planning Portal and send it via the post (please note you will still need to register on the planning portal to do this).
- The correct fee must be submitted with the application. If it is not the application will be accepted, but no action will be taken on it and the eight weeks the Council has to decide the application will not start until the correct fee is received.

Planning Portal
Make a planning application online using the Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council section of the Planning Portal.
Using the Planning Portal, you can:
- Make an application online.
- Add attachments such as electronic copies of plans.
- Pay for your application online.
- Or you can complete the forms online and then post them to the Council as part of a traditional paper application.
To make an application, you will need to register with the Planning Portal (or log in if you are already registered with them) and then follow the instructions they provide.

Planning Portal launches free Events for Planning Agents & Applicants
The Planning Portal is starting 2010 with a series of free events aimed at planning agents and applicants to promote the benefits of submitting planning applications online.

Any regular applicants who currently submit planning applications on paper are invited to attend the Planning Portal's FREE workshops. The workshops will answer the following questions:
- What's in it for me? Why should I use the online method?
- How can the services of the Planning Portal improve my competitive edge?
- How easy is it to convert to e-planning?
- What support is available?
At the workshops The Planning Portal will demonstrate the online process and the other free tools available on the site. The agenda for the workshop will cover:
- Demonstrating the key principles involved in using the online service
- How to attach plans and other documents to support your application
- Using the online tools such as mapping and volume & fee calculators

The workshops are an ideal opportunity to learn about e-planning, voice opinions and meet the Planning Portal Team and fellow planning professionals.
