Local Agenda 21
As human beings we have a place on Earth as part of a wider living community, however our actions have and still do, cause changes to the earth that are harmful to many current inhabitants, including ourselves e.g. pollution.
Environmental issues are therefore extremely important if we are to repair the damage that already exists, these issues are both local and global.
The local issues concern the area close to where we live and the things in our environment that affect us every day, food, air, water, refuse.
Global issues like depletion of the ozone, extinction and climate change, can affect conditions throughout the planet, such as flooding, shrinking forests, global warming, and destroying habitats.
