North Warwickshire Borough Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council are now working in partnership to provide Building Regulation services to residents of both Boroughs.
Northern Warwickshire Building Control Partnership
The Building Regulations impose a set of minimum standards on people carrying out certain specified works in or about buildings. They are primarily for the purposes of public health and safety, the conservation of fuel and power and access and use of buildings.

Building Control ensures, through the checking of plans and the inspection of work, that these requirements are met.

The information below will help guide you through the Building Regulation Submission process and allow you to submit your application online.  Alternatively you can go directly to the online forms listed at the top of this page in the Online Services section.

Please note many links in this section point out to the Planning Portal website which provides information at a National Level.

  • Full Plans - Suitable for all types of work.
  • Building Notice - A simple way of notifying us about your proposals. It cannot be used for all types of work.
  • Regularisation - An option which allows owners to obtain Building Regulation permission retrospectively for illegal work.
