Animals - Stray

The Council has two Animal Wardens who promote responsible dog ownership. Stray dogs are picked up and taken to our kennels. A fee of £25.00 plus fees of £13 (total £38) for the first day’s kennelling, and £9 per day (or part day) thereafter, will be required to be paid before a dog is released.

Warwickshire Police will not accept strays at police stations - people will need to contact this Council instead.  Anyone who finds a stray dog during office hours (9am-5pm) weekdays should call our Contact Centre on 024 7637 6405 and our Animal Wardens will call to collect the dog. Out of hours from 5pm-7pm weekdays and from 7am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday captured strays can be taken to Pheasants Nest Kennels at Pheasants Nest Farm, Smorrall Lane, Bedworth, CV12 0NL. The kennels can be contacted on 01676 540608.
