Councillors - General Information

Councillors vote on matters concerning the whole Borough as well as their own wards. Individual Councillors do not serve on all the Council's Committees, they pass on certain enquires to fellow Councillors when necessary.

The principal roles of the elected Councillors are to:

  • Represent the interests of all the residents in their ward
  • Offer advice and assistance on Council matters or services
  • Help decide Council policy and monitor performance
