Queens Road Enhancement Scheme

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in partnership with Warwickshire County Council and Advantage West Midlands are proposing to enhance Queens Road in Nuneaton as part of the Town Centre Enhancement programme.

The enhancement scheme proposes to re-pave the footways and pedestrian priority zone between Roanne Ringway and Stratford Street with clay pavers laid in a pattern to reflect the rope making heritage of this part of the town.  Improved lighting, seating, planting and street furniture will also be provided.

Subject to funding, this work is programmed to start later this year and be complete by August, 2007.

Plans showing details of the project will be displayed between 22nd January and 5th February, 2007 at the Town Hall, Library and Ropewalk Shopping Centre in Nuneaton.  A display will also be staffed in the market on Wednesday, 31st January where you may discuss the proposals with officers from the Borough and County Councils.

If you have any comments to make regarding this scheme, please contact the Projects Team by 9th February, 2007.  keith.evans@nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk or telephone 024 7637 6481.
