Supporting Communities

The Supporting Communities theme (Community Plan and Involvement Forum) is made up of members of Community and Voluntary Groups operating across the Borough and other organisations/groups who have an interest stake in the implementation of the Community Plan, theme one, Supporting Communities.

The forum meets on a quarterly basis, please see below minutes of the previous meetings.

At the last Forum on Thursday 24th January, over 50 people from voluntary and community organisations operating in the Borough attended. The main focus for the meeting was for groups to populate the supporting communities action Plan. The aim of this was to build a picture of the range of activities that community and voluntary groups are involved in across the Borough in relation to the five key areas of the Supporting Communities theme.

The longer term ambition is that by groups and agencies helping to populate the action plan this will help to achieve more coordinated activity and help facilitate shared learning between groups.
