Ability Business Centre received £4,964.00 from the Community Plan Fund for running assistive technology road shows.

The Assistive Technology Roadshow has demonstrated computer hardware and software which can assist people with various disabilities in order for them to operate a computer.

There have been six stops on the Roadshow, at the Ramsden Centre, Bedworth Health Leisure and Activity Centre, Pastels Day Care Centre, Holly Bush House, Town Hall in Nuneaton and the Civic Hall in Bedworth.

There have been opportunities for people to try out specially made keyboards, mice, switches and magnifiers, all of which make using computer equipment easier for disabled users.

The Ability Business Centre project has now come to an end, but for all other enquiries regarding technology to assist disabled people to use a computer, please call the Disablement Information Advice Line, DIAL, on 024 76349954.
