Weddington Primary School - Gardening Club received £2,000.00 from the Community Plan Fund for developing the quad area.
Quad Refurbishment - April 2008
The Key Stage 2 Quad had been in a state of disrepair for sometime and as a result neither the children or the staff could use it.
Mrs Ward (Head Teacher) made a bid to WCC/NBBC for a grant to improve the children's learning environment. This grant of £2,000 has been supplemented by a donation of £100 by Weddington Primary PTA.
At Easter, the slabs were re-laid and one of our Lunch-time Supervisors is due to install the pond cover any day.
Mrs Ward says that "It is our aim to make the Quad part of our eco-school initiative by planting fruit and vegetable plants. The children will also grow flowers and these will be useful for many science investigations."
