All projects were assessed by a panel of representatives, consisting of adults and young people from local community and voluntary organisations. An astonishing 60 applications were received from a variety of groups with a total grant request of £239,000, the actual funding available was £100,000 and therefore the overall process was very competitive and there were a large number of extremely good projects.
