Select Accredit – supplier pre-qualification service
As part of its procurement strategy, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC) has adopted BiP Select, the national pre-qualification service for suppliers to the public sector. NBBC would like to invite all existing suppliers and any companies wishing to supply to us, to register with BiP Select.
BiP Select will now be the main reference source of suppliers considered for the supply and delivery of goods and services for NBBC, bearing in mind the Council’s obligations under the EU Directives. Given those obligations, please be aware that registration will not in itself guarantee inclusion on tender lists compiled in respect of future contracts.
The BiP Select service will help NBBC achieve its procurement aims, including:
- improving efficiency by using a single, simple supplier approval process
- gaining greater knowledge about the capability and performance of the Council's suppliers
- having a central database of PQQ information helping organisations avoid duplication
- engaging with SME's and third sector organisations
